Footing the Bill: Who Pays for Absent Fatherhood?
For many American children, growing up in a one parent household is their reality. In those situations, the norm is that the one parent is their mother. As Youth Voices Reporter Kameisha Jerae Hodge found out, children growing up without their fathers face a different set of difficulties than those with two parents at home.
Do You Have a Hero?
My hero is myself. Through all the struggles, pain, heartache and trauma I've endured, I've still managed to strive to succeed . and have succeeded. Though I'm the third born child in my generation, I'm the first to graduate from high school and attend a four-year institution for a degree. I may not be a woman of steel or have webs shooting out of my wrists, but I do my best to help people whenever I can. All heroes do that.
