For many young Americans, the 2008 presidential election will be the first time they will be eligible to vote. As they approach their 18th birthdays, the reality and importance of that decision are beginning to sink in. Youth Voices Reporter Anna Van Hollen has the story.

Do You Have a Hero?
Derek Jeter is my hero. I understand the irony in that statement, because, after all, I am not an aspiring baseball player or even a competitive athlete. However, ever since a young age I have been watching Derek Jeter lead my favorite baseball team, the Yankees. The manner in which he holds himself on the field and among his teammates is heroic. Derek Jeter is a person who lives deliberately, and plays every game as if it were his last. For this, I respect him and call him my hero.
