Teens and Books

For teens, the idea of pulling out yet another thick novel to ponder for a good two weeks in their English classes is not always the most pleasant part of high school. But for some, that's not always the case. In a time when bookstores such as Barnes & Noble and Borders are teen hang-outs, the idea of actually jumping into a great novel has become a new past time for some teens. Youth Voices Reporter Marjorie brings us a story that seeks to answer the question of whether teens are turned off by the ways that literature is presented to them in school, or if they are just finding other ways to enjoy the written word.
