During the last several years, the public has become more aware of issues surrounding Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, also known as ADD. There has been much debate over some of the more controversial questions like whether the disorder is over-diagnosed and at what age children should be given medication. However, according to a recent report by the Surgeon General, the growing awareness also means that some groups who’ve been traditionally under-diagnosed are now being identified and treated. Among those: girls and adolescents…both categories which describe 17 year old Youth Voices reporter Erikah.
